Six Continents Hotels Settles Phone Call Recordings Claims For $11.7M

(February 18, 2016, 10:57 AM EST) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on Feb. 8 granted final approval of a $11.7 million settlement ending a class complaint arising out of Six Continents Hotels Inc.’s alleged policy and practice of recording phone calls made to its call centers without providing notice to callers (Laura McCabe, et al. v. Six Continents Hotels, Inc., No. 12-4818, N.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 15822).
