California Federal Judge Tosses Pet Food Labeling Class Suit
(February 18, 2016, 9:13 AM EST) -- SANTA ANA, Calif. — Pet food makers have no duty to disclose the possibility that some of the seafood used in their products was caught by boats using forced labor, a California federal judge ruled Feb. 5, dismissing a class suit brought by consumers (Christina Wirth, et al. v. Mars Inc., et al., No. 15-1470, C.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 14552).
