Florida Federal Judge Awards $1,000 To Postal Franchisor
Mealey's (February 16, 2016, 2:32 PM EST) -- TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida federal judge on Feb. 11 awarded $1,000 in damages for a former GP Brands Inc. franchisee’s violation of the Lanham Act, well below the $111,560 that GP Brands was seeking (GP Brands Inc. v. Gwinnett Postal Center, No. 8:15-cv-2583, M.D. Fla., Tampa Div.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 17013).
