BLM Violates Clean Water Act, But Judge Denies Injunction, Relief To 2 Landowners
Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 12:30 PM EDT) -- DENVER — A Colorado federal judge on Jan. 13 found that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is violating the Clean Water Act by polluting a creek and private wells, but he denied a plaintiffs’ motion to enjoin the agency from operating two at-fault wells or to order replacement water from nearby water districts (Water Myers, et al. v. Bureau of Land Management, et al., No. 13-701, D. Colo.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 3647).
