Halliburton Asks 5th Circuit To Reverse District Court’s Class Certification Ruling

Mealey's (February 12, 2016, 2:23 PM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — Defendants asked the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Feb. 8 to reverse a federal district court’s order granting class certification in a securities action because the ruling is in direct conflict with rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit (Erica P. John Fund Inc. v. Halliburton Co., No. 15-90038, 5th Cir.).
