BP Shareholders Ask High Court To Review Class Certification Denial

Mealey's (February 11, 2016, 4:54 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Lead plaintiffs on Jan. 25 asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruling denying class certification in a securities class action lawsuit against BP PLC and certain of its executive officers, arguing that the Fifth Circuit erred in its review of the lead plaintiffs’ damages model at the class certification stage Robert Ludlow, et al. v. BP PLC, No. 15-952, U.S. Sup.).
