8th Circuit Upholds Verdict For Police Sergeant In Reverse Racism Suit

LOUIS — The Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Jan. 19 upheld a Missouri federal court jury’s $620,000 verdict in favor of a police department sergeant who alleges that he was denied a promotion because he is white (David Bonenberger v. St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, et al., No. 14-3696, 8th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 793).
