Biomet Shoulder Lawsuit Settles For $350,000

Mealey's (February 11, 2016, 8:59 AM EST) -- DENVER — Biomet Orthopedics LLC has settled a shoulder prosthesis lawsuit for $350,000, according to a Feb. 4 order and judgment filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado (Alfonse A. Alarid v. Biomet, Inc., et al., No. 14-2667, D. Colo.).

Alfonso A. Alarid was implanted with two Comprehensive Reverse Shoulder devices made by Biomet Orthopedics. The devices later fractured and had to be surgically removed and replaced.

Alarid sued Biomet for product liability.
