Justice Appoints Referee To Hear Claims Disputes In Liquidation Proceeding

(February 10, 2016, 1:47 PM EST) -- NEW YORK — A New York justice on Feb. 5 approved a procedure for judicial review of claims and appointed a referee to hear claim disputes in an insolvent insurer’s liquidation proceeding (In the Matter of the Liquidation of Drivers Insurance Company, No. 452965/15, N.Y. Sup., New York Co.).

The New York County Supreme Court ordered Drivers Insurance Co. on Aug. 7, 2015, into liquidation and appointed the state’s superintendent of financial services as Drivers’ liquidator.
