Twitter Asserts Its Right To Challenge FISA Limits On Reporting DOJ Requests

Mealey's (February 9, 2016, 3:41 PM EST) -- OAKLAND, Calif. — Opposing a motion to dismiss by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, social network operator Twitter Inc. on Feb. 5 argues that a California federal court is the proper venue for its challenge to provisions of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (Twitter Inc. v. Loretta E. Lynch, et al., No. 4:14-cv-04480, N.D. Calif.).
