Woman Given 5 Years’ Probation For Role In Insurance Fraud Scheme

(February 9, 2016, 9:54 AM EST) -- EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — A federal judge in Illinois on Jan. 29 sentenced a woman to five years of probation and ordered her to pay $16,828 in restitution after she pleaded guilty to one count of health care fraud for engaging in a scheme to steal from a health care program by submitting fraudulent bills (United States of America v. Lisa Jorden, No. 15-cr-30092, S.D. Ill.).
