2 NECC Defendants To Stand Trial For Structured Money Transfers

(February 9, 2016, 8:37 AM EST) -- BOSTON — Two defendants in the New England Compounding Center (NECC) criminal case must stand trial on charges of structuring $570,000 in bank transactions to avoid notice, but they will not face charges of contempt of a bankruptcy court order freezing their assets, a Massachusetts federal judge ruled Jan. 29 (United States v. Carla R. Conigliaro, et al., No. 14-cr-10363, D. Mass.).
