ICSID Rejects Turkmenistan’s Application To Annul Award In BIT Dispute
(February 8, 2016, 12:05 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — An ad hoc committee for the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on Jan. 15 denied an application filed by Turkmenistan to annul a tribunal's award that it expropriated an investment in a poultry farm and that it failed to afford the investment fair and equitable treatment (Adem Dogan v. Turkmenistan, No. ARB/09/9, ICSID).
