11th Circuit To Rehear En Banc Florida Firearm Owners Privacy Act Case
Mealey's (February 4, 2016, 2:36 PM EST) -- ATLANTA — In a Feb. 3 ruling, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals agreed to rehear en banc an appeal of a trial court ruling that had enjoined certain provisions of Florida’s Firearm Owners Privacy Act (FOPA) as violating the rights of physicians under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, et al. v. Governor of the State of Florida, et al., No. 12-14009, 11th Cir.).
