Chinese Drywall MDL Judge Reduces Amount Developer Can Obtain For Remediation Claim
(February 4, 2016, 9:52 AM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — The federal judge in Louisiana overseeing the multidistrict litigation based on allegedly defective drywall manufactured in China on Jan. 21 further reduced the amount of remediation damages a property owner could recover, holding that some of the plaintiff’s requested costs were not eligible for recovery and that some were not properly documented (In re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2047, E.D. La.).
