7th Circuit Vacates Denial Of Class Certification In Couriers’ Wage Suit
(February 4, 2016, 8:23 AM EST) -- CHICAGO — A trial court abused its discretion when it found that common issues don’t “predominate” in a class complaint filed by couriers who allege that they were misclassified as independent contractors, the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Jan. 19 (Thomas Costello, et al. v. BeavEx, Incorporated, Nos. 15-1109 & 15-1110, 7th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 862).
