Fracking Company: Township’s Opposition To Damages Trial ‘Has No Legal Support’
(February 3, 2016, 3:29 PM EST) -- PITTSBURGH — A hydraulic fracturing company that sued a Pennsylvania municipality for passing an ordinance prohibiting underground injection control (UIC) wells on Feb. 2 filed a brief in federal court claiming that the municipality’s contention that a trial on damages is improper and should not be bifurcated “has no legal support” (Pennsylvania General Energy Company LLC v. Grant Township, No. 14-209, W.D. Pa.).
