California Federal Judge Approves Technical Support Company’s TCPA Settlement

(February 3, 2016, 8:01 AM EST) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California federal judge on Jan. 26 granted final approval to a technical support service provider’s offer to pay $40 to each class member to settle a complaint accusing it of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by calling consumers’ cell phones without their express permission (Vicki Estrada, et al. v. iYogi, Inc., No. 13-1989, E.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 8947).
