Mealey's (February 2, 2016, 11:19 AM EST) -- AUSTIN, Texas — States challenging Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) taxes on providers lack standing as well as a way around sovereign immunity, the federal government said Jan. 27 in asking a federal court in Texas to dismiss the action (State of Texas, State of Kansas, State of Louisiana v. United States of America, et al., No. 15-151, N.D. Texas).
