New York Justice Dismisses Woman’s Claims Against Building Sponsor’s Parent Company

(February 1, 2016, 7:52 AM EST) -- NEW YORK — A New York County Supreme Court justice on Jan. 11 awarded summary judgment to the parent company of a building sponsor that purportedly sold a brownstone in Harlem that was riddled with construction defects after finding that the plaintiff failed to establish that the company is the sponsor’s alter ego (Christina Robilotto v. Abyssinian Development Corporation, et al., No. 653560/14, N.Y. Sup., New York Co.; 2016 N.Y. Misc. LEXIS 94).
