Justice: No Equitable Tolling For Decades-Old Asbestos Case Refiled In New York

(January 28, 2016, 10:00 AM EST) -- NEW YORK — An almost two-decade delay in obtaining a ruling on jurisdiction arose in part from counsel’s specific strategy of volume asbestos filings, a New York justice held in denying equitable tolling in an opinion posted Dec. 18 (In re New York City Asbestos Litigation, William E.
