Fracking Company’s Pretrial Brief Denies Fault In Case Of Tainted Groundwater

Mealey's (January 27, 2016, 12:51 PM EST) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — An oil and gas company that was sued in Pennsylvania federal court by residents who contend that the company has contaminated their groundwater as a result of hydraulic fracturing operations filed a pretrial memorandum on Jan. 12 in which it denies that its activities caused any contamination to the plaintiffs’ groundwater and argues that evidence of personal injury is not admissible (Nolen Scott Ely v. Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation, No. 09-2284, M.D. Pa.).
