Facebook Again Seeks Dismissal Of Class Action Over Cookie Tracking

(January 27, 2016, 12:41 PM EST) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — Three months after a California federal judge dismissed a privacy class action against Facebook Inc. over its purported use of cookies to track users’ Internet activities, the social network on Jan. 14 moved to dismiss the plaintiffs’ amended complaint, contending that their allegations still fail for lack of standing and for failure to state a claim (In re: Facebook Internet Tracking Litigation, No. 5:12-md-02314, N.D. Calif.).
