Federal Judge Remands UCL And Fraud Claims For Lack Of Jurisdiction
(January 26, 2016, 1:18 PM EST) -- LOS ANGELES — A California federal judge on Jan. 21 granted a motion to remand a case in which property owners assert causes of action for violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) and fraud, finding a lack of complete diversity jurisdiction (Lugo, et al. v. CitiMortgage Inc., et al., No. 2:15-cv-09195, C.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 7817).
