Louisiana Federal Judge Grants Motion To Remand Asbestos Suit To State Court
(January 25, 2016, 6:10 PM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana federal judge on Jan. 14 granted a motion to remand a suit arising out of occupational exposure to asbestos after determining that the federal court does not have subject matter jurisdiction because there are claims still pending against other defendants named in the state court suit (Dwight William Eckert Sr. v. Administrators of the Tulane Educational Fund, et al., No. 15-5546, E.D. La.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 4715).
