California Appeals Court Rules Industry Standards May Be Submitted As Evidence

(January 25, 2016, 4:19 PM EST) -- LOS ANGELES — A California appeals panel on Jan. 19 said the trial court in a product liability case did not err by allowing an automaker to introduce evidence of industry standards, affirming summary judgment for the automaker (William Jae Kim, et al. v Toyota Motor Corporation, et al., No. B247672. Cal. App., 2nd Dist.; 2016 Cal. App. LEXIS 34).
