Judge Won’t Stay Money Judgment In Oklahoma Case Between City, Rural District

(January 25, 2016, 2:06 PM EST) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma federal judge on Jan. 22 denied an emergency motion to stay execution of a money judgment against the City of Guthrie, Okla., for providing water service to residents who were supposed to be served by a rural water district (Rural Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Management District No. 1, et al. v. City of Guthrie, et al., No. 05-786, W.D. Okla.).
