NFL Concussion Plaintiffs Seek Remand Of Severed Product Liability Claims

(January 25, 2016, 12:15 PM EST) -- PHILADELPHIA — On Jan. 18, less than two months after the product liability claims against a group of football helmet manufacturers (collectively, the Riddell defendants) were severed from the consolidated multidistrict litigation by former National Football League (NFL) players alleging personal injury claims related to concussion injuries, the plaintiffs moved to remand the claims for lack of subject matter jurisdiction (In Re: National Football League Players’ Concussion Injury Litigation, No. 2:12-md-02323, E.D. Pa.).
