Tobacco Company Objects To Proposed Jury Instructions, Says They Are Inflammatory

(January 19, 2016, 12:39 PM EST) -- BOSTON — Philip Morris USA Inc. on Jan. 11 filed objections to the plaintiffs’ proposed jury instructions in a bellwether case in Massachusetts federal court in which the plaintiffs are seeking to have the company pay for early detection tests, saying the instructions are “replete with inflammatory rhetoric” that would prejudice the jury (Kathleen Donovan, et al. v. Philip Morris USA Inc. No. 1:06-cv-12234, D. Mass.).
