(January 19, 2016, 12:05 PM EST) -- NEW YORK — A man convicted of insider trading asked the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Jan. 7 to release him from his imprisonment in a halfway house pending appeal in the Circuit Court of his conviction (Doug Whitman v.
