Alaska Supreme Court Remands Motion For New Trial For Reconsideration

(January 15, 2016, 2:23 PM EST) -- ANCHORAGE, Ala. — The Alaska Supreme Court Dec. 18 reversed a lower court ruling and remanded a motion for a new trial in a tobacco case for reconsideration after finding that the lower court used an incorrect standard to weigh the evidence in a case in which a man died from lung cancer related to his addiction to cigarettes (Dolores Hunter v. Philip Morris USA Inc., No. 7071. Ala. Sup.; 2015 Alas. LEXIS 155).
