Defendants ‘Improperly Frame’ Benzene Case, Widow Says; 5th Circuit Should Reverse

(January 14, 2016, 2:37 PM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — A woman who sued Shell Oil Co. claiming that it is liable for exposing her husband to benzene and causing his death filed a brief on Jan. 7 in the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, arguing that the court should reverse the district court’s final judgment that dismissed her lawsuit (Yolande Burst v. Shell Oil Company, et al., No. 14-109, E.D. La.).
