4th Circuit Upholds Back Pay Award For Discharged Worker

(January 14, 2016, 11:35 AM EST) -- RICHMOND, Va. — A Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Dec. 21 upheld a National Labor Relations Board $95,046.07 back pay award for a worker who was discharged for engaging in union activities (National Labor Relations Board v. Pessoa Construction Company, No. 15-1182, Pessoa Construction Company v. National Labor Relations Board, No. 15-1251, 4th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 22241).
