9th Circuit Panel: Exxon Franchisees Were Given Reasonable Sales Offers
Mealey's (January 13, 2016, 4:31 PM EST) -- PASADENA, Calif. — Franchisees who operate service stations leased from ExxonMobil Corp. were given reasonable offers to sell stations in which Exxon owns a fee interest, a panel of the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Dec. 11 in an unpublished opinion. The franchisees filed a petition for rehearing on Jan. 6 (Light Petroleum Inc., et al. v. ExxonMobil Corporation, No. 13-56909, 9th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 22613).
