(January 13, 2016, 11:01 AM EST) -- MIAMI — A Florida federal judge on Nov. 19 dismissed a claim for punitive damages in an insurance bad faith action brought by a restaurant franchise but let stand a claim for statutory bad faith (Chicken Kitchen USA. LLC v. Maiden Specialty Insurance Company, No. 14-23282-CIV-LENARD, S.D. Fla.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 156654).
