Judge Orders Tax Business Franchisee To Turn Over Confidential Material
(January 13, 2016, 10:17 AM EST) -- NEWARK, N.J. — A New Jersey federal judge on Oct. 29 granted a franchiser's request for preliminary injunction, ordering the former franchisee of income tax preparation businesses to turn over confidential materials and enforcing a noncompete clause in the underlying agreements (Jackson Hewitt Inc. v. David G. Cline, No. 14-6931, D. N.J.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 147167).
