Mealey's (January 12, 2016, 1:39 PM EST) -- SEATTLE — Washington state’s duty under Medicaid as amended by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) extends further than simply paying for services; it must meet with plaintiffs and devise a plan for securing promised services, a federal judge held Jan. 7 (A. H.R., et al. v. Washington State Health Care Authority, et al., No. 15-5701, W.D. Wash.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 2587).
