Homeowner’s Observations Did Not Qualify As Structural Engineer Testimony, Panel Says

(January 12, 2016, 12:35 PM EST) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — In a lawsuit seeking damages from negligent work, a trial court did not err in precluding testimony as to what a homeowner observed and did in repairing his home after the first few weeks of cleanup because the homeowner was not a structural engineer, a Pennsylvania appeals panel ruled Dec. 15 (Cynthia C.
