Judge Dismisses Borrower's FDCPA And Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Claims

(January 8, 2016, 2:43 PM EST) -- PORTLAND, Ore. — An Oregon federal judge on Jan. 6 granted a motion filed by lenders and attorneys to dismiss claims against them related to a foreclosure action, finding that the borrower's causes of action for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Oregon law failed (Timothy Barnes v. Routh Crabtree Olsen, PC, et al., No. 3:15-CV-01001, D. Ore.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 1502).
