Judge: No Coverage For Claims Doctor Improperly Provided Narcotic Prescriptions

(January 7, 2016, 1:09 PM EST) -- BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Connecticut federal judge on Jan. 6 granted judgment in favor of homeowners and excess insurers one day after finding that they have no duty to defend their doctor insured against underlying claims that he negligently provided narcotic prescriptions (Todd Stockheimer v. Hanover Insurance Co., et al., No. 15-00213, D. Conn.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 826).
