Partial Stay Granted In Uber Driver Wage Suit Pending Appeal
(January 7, 2016, 11:13 AM EST) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on Dec. 22 partially granted and partially denied a motion for a complete stay pending an appeal in a class complaint filed by Uber Technologies Inc. drivers who allege that they were improperly classified as independent contractors, denied reimbursement for all necessary expenditures and denied the full amount of gratuities paid by customers (Douglas O’Connor, et al. v. Uber Technologies, Inc., No. 13-3826, N.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 171494).
