Panel Says Insurer Had No Duty To Defend, Indemnify Claims Of Flooding Damage

(January 6, 2016, 11:28 AM EST) -- CHICAGO — An insurer had no duty to defend or indemnify homeowners against allegations that a driveway easement caused flooding damage to a neighbor’s home, an Illinois appeals panel affirmed Dec. 11 (Travelers Personal Insurance Co. v. Michael Edwards and Melissa Mizel, No. 13 CH 04169, Ill. App., 1st Dist., 6th Div.; 2015 Ill. App. Unpub. LEXIS 2765).
