Judge Refuses To Dismiss, Stay Coverage Suit Arising From Claims Against Bill Cosby
(January 5, 2016, 2:23 PM EST) -- SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — A Massachusetts federal judge on Dec. 15 denied William H. Cosby Jr.’s motion to dismiss or, alternatively, stay his insurer’s lawsuit seeking a declaration that it has no duty to defend him for underlying defamation claims, further finding the insurer’s motion to stay the underlying lawsuit to be “procedurally improper” (AIG Property Casualty Co. v. Tamara Green, et al., No. 15-30111, D. Mass.).
