Groundwater Contamination Plaintiff May Amend Complaint, Judge Says
(January 4, 2016, 8:44 AM EST) -- FORT MYERS, Fla. — A federal magistrate judge in Florida hearing a procedural dispute in a lawsuit brought by a Florida resident representing a farm trust that contends that a group of chemical companies contaminated its property and groundwater with volatile organic compounds on Dec. 14 granted the plaintiff’s motion for an expedited ruling and granted him leave to amend his complaint (Noel D. Clark Jr., et al. v. Ashland Inc., No. 13-794, M.D. Fla.).
