Mississippi Federal Judge Dismisses National Forest Premises Liability Suit
(December 31, 2015, 10:45 AM EST) -- JACKSON, Miss. — A federal judge in Mississippi on Dec. 28 dismissed a case brought against the United States by a woman who injured herself riding a bike on a trail in a national forest because the court lacks subject matter jurisdiction (Teresa Gonzalez v. United States of America, No. 1:14CV62, S.D. Miss; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 172111).
