(December 28, 2015, 12:44 PM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — The parties debating the proper jurisdiction of a case brought by Louisiana residents who contend that Chevron USA Inc. and other companies contaminated their groundwater with naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) on Dec. 11 presented oral arguments to the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals differing on the evidence pertaining to the amount in controversy (Joseph Robertson, et al. v. Chevron USA Inc., et al., No. 15-00874, E.D. La.).
