FTC Seeks Approval Of $100 Million Judgment Against Identity Theft Firm
Mealey's (December 22, 2015, 2:10 PM EST) -- PHOENIX — In a Dec. 17 motion, the Federal Trade Commission asked an Arizona federal court to approve a $100 million consent judgment and permanent injunction against an identity theft protection firm that the commission said did not live up to its protection claims and its pledge to keep collected personally identifiable information (PII) safe and private (Federal Trade Commission v. LifeLock Inc., et al., No. 2:10-cv-00530, D. Ariz.).
