Shell Oil: Toxics Research Agency Not Permitted To File Amicus Brief

(December 18, 2015, 2:15 PM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — Shell Oil Co., which is being sued by a woman who claims that her husband’s death was caused by exposure to benzene for which the company is liable, on Dec. 7 filed a brief opposing the plaintiff’s motion for reconsideration, arguing that the Council for Education and Research on Toxics (CERT) should not be permitted to file an amicus curiae brief (Yolande Burst v. Shell Oil Company, et al., No. 14-109, E.D. La.).
