Data Shows Dramatic Drop In 2016 PPO Offerings, ACA Marketplace Report Says

(December 17, 2015, 2:14 PM EST) -- PRINCETON, N.J. — Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces will feature fewer preferred provider organizations in 2016, according to a November report from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Of the 790 PPO plans offered in the United States in 2015 by 131 insurers, 28 percent will be dropped entirely, while 39 percent will be reduced, according to the report.
