Organizers End Election Of Native Hawaiians, But Plan To Still Hold Convention

(December 16, 2015, 2:13 PM EST) -- HONOLULU — The nonprofit organization conducting an election of Native Hawaiian delegates to a constitutional convention halted the election Dec. 15 to avoid a drawn-out legal battle with six challengers to the election, but said the convention will go on, with all 196 delegate candidates invited to attend, according to a news release.
